Verified Caddie Network ("VCN", "we", "us", or "our") operates the VCN mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you register
• Profile information: location, home club, bio, experience, and profile photo
• Professional information: loop history, certifications, and credentials
• Social links: website, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube handles you choose to share
• Reviews and ratings submitted by or about you
• Communications you send us

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Calculate and display your caddie readiness score and rankings
• Facilitate the player review process
• Send transactional emails (review requests, review approvals, password resets)
• Display your public caddie profile in the directory and rankings
• Connect caddies with job opportunities posted by golf clubs
• Improve and operate the platform

3. INFORMATION WE SHARE

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Public profile: Caddie profiles (name, location, score, tier, social links, and bio) are visible to all users of the platform
• Review links: When you request a player review, we share your name with the player via email so they can complete the review
• Service providers: We use Resend to deliver transactional emails and Replit to host our infrastructure
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Replit's infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and hashed passwords. We do not store plain-text passwords.

5. YOUR CHOICES

You may update or delete your profile information at any time from the app's Edit Profile screen. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email address below.

6. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

With your permission, we may send push notifications to alert you when reviews are approved or other account activity occurs. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

VCN is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of VCN after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
